Emma, from Mansfield, sent in this great idea. Let’s take a look at it…
What did you do?
A treasure hunt including clues and keys to enable a child/children to discover something new (or rescue something old!)
My 5 year old loved this, he followed clues to the next clue which was hidden within a toilet roll holder, bound with string and padlocked so he had to use the key to unlock the next clue and so on until he discovered the treasure chest which again was bound by string and padlocked shut. As he’s only 5, I tucked the key in the string on each clue but depending on ability you could hide the keys for the next clue etc or make it as easy or difficult as you want. My son really enjoyed it and the keys really added that grown up/extra challenge

My name is Emma, I have 2 children, 1 is 13 and 1 is 5.
How are you finding being housebound so far?
I am working from home so found it really tough at times!
Do you have any tips for other parents?
Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, try to make quality time to just be yourself and enjoy each other
