What did you do?
Children have a natural desire to try and make sense of the complex world they live in, that’s why sorting exercise are of particular interest to them .
By making matches and categorizing objects they systematically begin to bring organization by utilizing what they know!
We collected a few rocks during our morning walk. I scattered them on a paper and traced them!
Once done, I removed the stones and had Talia have a go!
We used similar sized stones to make it slightly more challenging for Talia and this worked well! To simplify use different sizes!
