Danielle, from Twickenham, shows us her daughter’s rainbow hair braids. Let’s take a look at what she did…
What did you do?
My little one has asked for a “funky” hairdo every day since returning to school. Today she wanted something rainbow.
So we did bubble braids with all the rainbow colours and added some rainbow clips.
Traditionally bubble braids are supposed to be flush to the scalp (think french braid) but my daughter HATES me sectioning her hair so I improvised by using pigtails.

I’m Danielle, I have an 11-year-old stepson and a 4-year-old daughter. Originally from Northern Ireland but I have lived in and around London for nearly 11 years.
How are you finding being housebound so far?
I’m a nurse so my poor husband (who works from home anyway!) has been stuck at home with both kids.
Do you have any tips for other parents?
When my children act out or misbehave I take a deep breath and try to remember that they’re also on an emotional rollercoaster, they miss their friends and school and they are also probably scared.
And I’ve also been a lot more liberal with treats.
