Katie, from the Lake District, made this fantastic United Kingdom themed rag wreath with her daughter, Carly. Let’s take a look at what they did…
How did you make the rag wreath?
You will need one wire wreath and strips of material about 20 cm long.
The thinner material (such as T-shirts) was easier to tie than a cardigan. I am not a crafty person so anyone can do this!
What are you planning on doing next?
Next, I’m going to make a rainbow rag wreath for my mum, as she is a care worker.
Tell us a bit about yourself…
I am a single Mummy to 6-year-old Carly. We live in the beautiful Lake District, in the UK.
I am enjoying a slower pace of life at the moment, and have loved spending the time with my daughter, but I miss adults!
Any tips for other parents?
Look on here for inspiration, invent games and stories, and then do different things that incorporate them. My daughter made characters from the gingerbread man using sticks, then did a show, and then we made gingerbread.
Has the Housebound With Kids community helped?
The housebound with kids is a great page to find and share ideas and to also know that there are people struggling too.
