There’s nothing quite like a blooming sunflower to lift the spirits of the grumpiest of souls. Thanks to Liz from Snape Wood for this guide…

From mid-March till May is the best time of year to start.

- repeat step 2 daily.
- once roots and first leaf appear, transfer into soil.
- give love and attention and watch it grow.
What have you got on the radar for the future?
I’m working towards extending my small forest school business in the UK. I love the outdoors and I try to spend as much time as possible learning and discovering new things.
How are you finding lockdown?
I try and cycle every day, finding different routes and challenging pathways. I find the hills a real struggle but I’m getting better.
Do you have any tips that may help other parents?
See what your friends are up to and interested in. If you have a family of all ages try and find things that may interest them. My daughter and I recently made dresses out of our old baggy T-Shirts.
