Clare, from Cornwall, sent in this great pebble art idea. Let’s take a look…
What did you do?
My family love a trip to the beach searching for treasure, shiny seagrass, crumpled shells and pebbles covering the sand.
It’s useful to have the picture you would like to create thought of – to help choose the different shapes of pebbles you collect.
Instructions for pebble art:
Visit your favourite beach.
Search for treasure.
(A hot chocolate or icecream really helps this)
Choose your pebbles, shells, stones, seaglass and pop them I to a bucket to keep them safe.
When you get home lay your picture out flat on a piece of card.
(Again a hot chocolate usually helps with this)
Using a glue gun, glue down all of your treasure into your desired picture.
Place into a deep framed glass.
Place your frame somewhere for everyone to see.
I love making these with my family and they make amazing presents.
My dad is a fireman, with him having a lockdown birthday this was the perfect present I could make from treasure at our local beach.
(Made a change from chocolate!)
Making Memories is everything.
