Emma, from Banff (UK), sent in this great idea. Let’s take a look at it…
What did you do?
My 5 years old wanted to make a picture for her granny and grandad and after helping her make our own pebble family she found this very easy with little help.
She gathered up smooth pebbles/rocks from the beach along with some drift wood.
We already had a canvas at home along with some paint from doing our house up.
Painted the canvas, she arranged the pebbles and i superglued them all down and left to dry over night
Using smooth pebbles helps glue them down and position better.
Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…
My name is Emma I have 3 kids aged 11, 8 and 5. We live in Banff (UK)
How are you finding being housebound so far?
We have found being at home very rewarding at times but also very hard. Some days we boss the home schooling and have fun and other days we don’t, we have had a few days where we just didn’t take our books out and instead just had a some family time, either baking or some boardgames.
Do you have any tips for other parents?
Sometimes when you see that you are ‘failing’ can be some of your kids best days with you, put the books down when it gets too hard and just give yourself a break. Put a family film on and enjoy it the best you can
Has being part of our community helped you?
All the ideas in these groups have been amazing, some you don’t have to spend a penny. The advice has been brilliant.
