Laurie, from Canada, created this great little paper roll race car with her 3-year-old. Let’s take a look at it…
What did you do?
This is a cute little idea we completed that requires just a few materials (toilet paper roll, caps from squeeze pouches, paint, a glue gun, and a little figurine to place inside the car). We were inspired to create this craft after seeing it on a Pinterest board.
It was a relatively simple craft. I would definitely recommend cutting the top of the paper roll before painting.

Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…
My name is Laurie, I’m an elementary school teacher and one lucky momma to an amazing 3 year old boy. We live in Canada and enjoy going on adventures, playing in our backyard, and reading books (mostly about trucks and the solar system).
How are you finding being housebound so far?
As a teacher with 2 separate online classrooms and currently completing my high school qualifications, it’s been a juggle, but we make the most out of it. It’s been an amazing experience to continue doing the work I love and having the opportunity to spend more time with my family.
Do you have any tips for other parents?
Do what you can and take time for yourself.
Has being part of our community helped you?
I think the Housebound with Kids Facebook Community is a great way to share and build experiences/memories.
