Emma, from the UK, made paper plate birds with her children. Let’s take a look at it…
What did you do?
Cut a paper plate in half
Use crayons to colour
Craft items can be used to decorate if you have them (feathers, googly eyes, foam shapes)
Concertina a piece of A4 paper to make the wings.
Post it through a slit in the paper plate then spread the wings out and staple to secure
If desired hole punch and thread through something to hang it with (ribbon, string, pipe cleaner)
All my children were able to join in with this activity
Do you have any other projects planned?
We are looking at activities around traditional tales
