George, from Hertfordshire, sent in this great idea. Let’s take a look at it…
What did you do?
Making garden and home furniture out of pallets and sleepers or scaffold boards.
Cut out 4 cubby holes in the pallet, use the cut outs and screw into to cubby hole base to make 4 shelves. Cut a sleeper or scaffold board to the size of the pallet and secure on top with screws and an L- Bracket for extra safety. Sand down well and paint if desired.
Euro pallets work best for making display units as they are thicker wood and a nicer style. Normal pallets worked well for the planters and bench.
Do you have any other projects planned?
To make a children’s mud kitchen and a small garden bar from pallets.

How are you finding being housebound so far?
I am enjoying being at home and not at school. I like to keep busy in my shed building things. I started by making my mum a garden display unit then got lots of orders and sold them to local people.
