Jessica, from Michigan in the USA, sent in this great painting with water idea. Let’s take a look at it…
What did you do?
All you need is some construction paper, a small bowl of water and children’s paintbrushes. I like the first paintbrush set by Melissa & Doug best.
I like that it exposes young toddlers to art and develops fine motor skills without the mess/worry of real paint!
Do you have any other projects planned?
Eventually we can do “writing” in the sand with a paintbrush and sand on a tray to practice making letters, numbers or shapes!
Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…
My name is Jessica, I am a former early childhood teacher and now a stay-at-home mom to my 15-month-old son. We are from Michigan, USA.

My son isn’t quite old enough yet. We love Yahtzee though!

Any books by Sandra Boynton are so sweet and silly!

Open-ended toys: balls, blocks, Legos, animal figurines, etc.
