Sophie, and her daughter Alba, created these fantastic snakes out of painted stones…
What did you do?
I found this idea via Facebook, and after showing my daughter (Alba, 5) she immediately made a snake rock head and we headed down to a good spot near the local school and set it up.
Since then we’ve added better information sheets. The idea is you decorate a rock(s) and add them onto the snake. A community project which in a few days has really kicked off. Alba is thrilled everyone we go down and she discovers new rocks and likes to count how many there is!

How have you been dealing with being housebound?
I would say for Alba as she struggles with her emotions and anxiety lockdown hit her hard! This project has really encouraged her to go outdoors more and given her something to focus on.
