Sonam, from Mumbai, India, sent in her food art. Let’s take a look at it…
What did you make?
I made a nutella fruit tree. The activity needs a spoonful of nutella, and fruits of your choice. I have used mangoes and apples.
You need to take a dollop of nutella and place it on bottom side of the plate, spread the nutella in the shape of the trunk of tree and branches . Randomly place the chopped fruits on the branches making the tree look colourful
Do you have any other projects planned?
I plan to continue to create and teach foodarts for kids so that they enjoy home cooked healthy meals, adopt new flavours, have sensory exposures and help moms of fussy eaters
Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…
My name is Sonam, I am from India. I am a mom of a 3 year old boy. I am a parenting blogger who loves to share about my life and give parenting hacks to moms @themagicplatter
How are you finding being housebound so far?
To be honest it has been more tiring then ever. However, the flip side is I am enjoying every bit of it because it is one time opportunity we all have got to bond better which would have not be in a real scenario. Enjoying these little moments but yes as a mom it gets exhausting too.
Do you have any tips for other parents?
Maintain your schedule and stick to it so that it becomes easy for you. Play with your kids, talk a lot and have fun family bonding sessions. and the most important one is share the work load with each other.
Has this website and community helped you?
It is wonderful, it has been one-stop solution to check out for activities for my child and is super easy to access.
