Katie shows us how she organised this impressive glow in the dark bowling party for her kids! Here’s how she did it…

What did you do?

We decided to give our kids a treat for being well behaved (well, to an extent) so we came up with an idea to do our very own bowling party at home. The idea came from the candy claw grabber that we already had from a previous birthday party and we went from there.

Things you will need:

•Sweet jars (arrive empty)

•Glass milkshake bottles (Come with lids and straws)

•Nacho serving kit (Comes with 2x baskets, Checked papers, Ketchup and Mustard Bottles)

Sweets, milkshakes, chocolates and crisps were all from the supermarket and we also ordered pizza and chips etc.

For the decoration side of things you will need:

•2 black light bulbs (2 adapters also to change them from screw ins to bayonet fittings)

•Let it glow back drop

•Led light box

•Pack of Neon glow in the dark decorations (Comes with balloons and banners)

• Neon tape for the alley that we also used on the bowling pins

•Glow sticks

•Neon pens

Tell us a bit about yourself…

We are a family (Me and my husband Hasnain) with 4 young boys (Kamari aged 11, Elias aged 5, Isaiah aged 4 and Laith aged 2) so we need to be creative in finding ways to keep them occupied.

They are just like any normal boys their age who would watch TV and play on their ipads all day if we let them but we try to break this up by doing things together that we can all enjoy.

We are all finding it difficult not being able to do the things we usually do as a family but there is so many great ideas that people can do to pass the time.
I’m so glad that I have found this group because I love sharing what we have been doing and look forward to also getting inspiration for other projects and ideas.

Thank you so much and From our family to yours, Stay safe and well and I hope to share with you all again soon x
