Dalila, from Croydon, had fun making minions our of toilet rolls. Let’s read more…
What did you do?
Making Minions using toilet paper rolls. A great way to engage in craft for boys and girls and create something they can play with after. It is a great way in engaging in talk about feelings and emotional well-being when the child comes to personalise the minions with eyes/mouth/eyebrows/hair.
It can be difficult for young ones to tighter the paper around the toilet paper rolls. Use sellotape to secure paper first and if needed provide assistance for this step. Alternatively you may prefer to paint the paper roll but that would involve paint which will take a little longer to dry and could be messy.
Do you have any other projects planned?
Dalila my daughter has lot of ideas and project coming up so it’s best to connect with via social media to stay updated.

How are you finding being housebound so far?
Some days are mad but we are coping as best as possible doing lot of craft, painting, drawing, dance, music, PE (yoga/aerobic/meditation). The children have lot of free time to play with their toys and each others too.
Do you have any tips for other parents?
Don’t wind yourself up with plans not going ahead. Some days it’s best to follow the glow and adapt. Stuck deal with the children to get some maths/literacy (reading/writing) done. Incorporate them as part of fun activities or activity the child would want to do, such a writing letters to school friends.
Has this website and community helped you?
It is a great way to share activities.
