14-year-old, Violet, from Irchester, Northampton, sent in this great idea for a memory wall. It is great to see articles and ideas from some of the younger members of the community. Let’s take a look…
What did you do?
I hung the curtain fairy lights using small nails to hang them up. I then sorted through pictures, old and new with the family and had flashbacks and cringe moments while looking through them. I then arranged the photos and stuck them to the wall using blue tac.
I attempted to hang the lights up using blue tac, which didn’t last long. I then thought of using nails to hang the string on.
Do you have any other projects planned?
To maybe create something similar in my mum’s room.
Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…
My name is Violet and I’m 14 years old. I live with my Mum, Melissa and my brother Ernie who is 8. I’m from Northampton, England and this is my first project at home. I’m very proud of what I have achieved.
How are you finding being housebound so far?
It’s been enjoyable being at home with my family. My Mum is a single parent so normally, she is working a lot. It’s been nice to spend so much time with her and Ernie.
Do you have any tips for other parents?
Think outside the box. Fun can be made from absolutely anything. The happy times will become memories.
Has being part of our community helped you?
We have used some of the ideas with my little brother, such as the shadow drawing.
