What did you do?
We used masking tape to create a train track on our kitchen floor, we had a ride on train we used to go around the track. I created some train tickets, platform signs and a ticket office sign. We created a mini railway using our train track and used chairs for the platform chairs. This activity gave us a few days of fun and our little boy loved it.
It worked very well and was amazing how well our little boy picked up on the experience.
We left the masking tape on a bit too long it needed a bit of help with coming off.

I am Gemma, I am married with one little boy aged 22 months, I have over 10 years experience in childcare and we live in Hertfordshire UK.
How are you finding being housebound so far?
I am finding it ok as being in childcare for over 10 years it has meant I can give our little boy the same experience and activities he would have at nursery.
Do you have any tips for other parents?
I started a Facebook page with activities that I have set up and completed with my little boy and would say look up local Facebook pages and ideas on the internet to give you some inspiration.
Has being part of our community helped you?
It is a lovely idea and gives you some great inspiration, it is the very reason I set up my Facebook page to help others and give people ideas.
