Aradhana, from India, sent in this great fishing game idea. Let’s take a look at it…
What did you do?
We were bored playing with the same toys every day so we made our own imaginary fishing game where a bowl of water acted like a pond and bunch of coulourful elastic rubber bands as Fish.
I took a bowl with water and put different colours of rubber bands in it and instructed my preschooler to take out the “fish” (rubber bands) from the bowl and put it in the assigned bowl.
I had already put different coloured bands in the separate small bowls so that along with fun she would be learning different colours also.
Materials needed:
~a big bowl with water(pond)
~Few small bowls to keep different coloured bands(fish)
~ a popsicle or any stick (fishing rod)
How to play:
Put all the colourful bands in a big bowl of water and tell your kid pull out one band with popsicle and put it in the assigned coloured small bowl. It’s a fun game for kids as well as they know about different colours also.
Popsicle worked as a fishing rod.
