Vivi, from Hebburn, sent in this great idea. Let’s take a look at it…
What did you do?
Instead of buy princess toddler bed that will be quick outgrow I made my own version of princess bed for my daughter using pvc pipes for the frame. I started with roughly sketch of the frame so I can work it out how many pipes and connector needed.
Once builded up i then start sew for the roof which i use stretchy soft material (but basic fabric should work too), I measure roughly where to pin for the pipe to go into the fabric cause i dont want any pipe expose then sew it. Last I sew the chiffon fabric to go all around it (again if prefer cheaper see through type of fabric that will do but i choose chiffon fabric cause i want it nicely drop and soft to touch.
Once finish insert the pipe frame into the fabric but remember to cut a little bit where the pipes join so the pipes can pass through but still dont get expose. I also sew a bunting to put in it and I finish it with paper lantern light wrap around the pipe on the ceiling for the night light.
I think as long as measure correctly any fabric you fancy should work
Do you have any other projects planned?
I think my next project gonna be much simpler, I’m planning to make/sew some felt food for my daughter
