What did you do?
Myself and my children have been busy making things for the up and coming Halloween festivities! We are planning a haunted house (gazebo) I have decided that along with a few store-bought items, We will use what we have at home too!
I love getting all of the kids involved! Finding great ideas online and seeing them come to life before your eyes!
Do you have any other projects planned?
Next stop are glow in the dark spooky jars.
Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…
My name is Jo and I am a stay at home Mummy with three children ages 2, 4 and 9. We are from the beautiful New Forest in Hampshire.
Do you have any tips for other parents?
Keep everything! I always make sure I have a few empty toilet roll tubes! I buy primary colour paints and mix them to make secondary colours (and brown) saving pennies and room in the craft cupboard!
What are your family’s favourite board game(s)/card game(s)?
My eldest daughter loves Monopoly, Cluedo and as a family we absolutely love playing pairs!
What are your children’s favourite books?
My eldest Daughter is currently reading Tom Gates, she has read all of the Harry Potter and David Walliams books also. I would also recommend The Boy, the mole, the fox and the Horse. It is a beautiful story and very uplifting. It promotes so many positive things.
What toys would you recommend to other parents?
Puzzles, shape sorters, bead mazes. Educational toys that never go out of fashion!
