Hannah-Leigh, from Newcastle, shares her snot play idea with us. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

Anyone’s little ones into gross science?
Here’s how you make snot…

Ingredients:

One table spoon of water
One table spoon of gelatine
Green food colouring

(Double that if you want to make more.)

Warm the water in microwave for 15 seconds.
Add the colouring (add as much/ little as you want).
Then add a table spoon of gelatine and mix well.

Add more gelatine to make snot thicker.
Add more water to make snot runnier.

My children are 4 & 2 so I made it thicker so the clean up is easier.

It was so simple to create but the children thoroughly loved every moment. It made learning so much fun.

Do you have any other projects planned?

We do absolutely loads of different things:
Volcano eruptions
Arts and crafts
Baking
Role play
Mini science experiments
