Amy, from England, sent in this great imaginative play idea. Let’s take a look at it…
What did you do?
Freddie’s construction site…
All you need is:
- Pasta
- Couscous
- Oats
- Flour
- Rice
- Crushed Weetabix
- Rice Krispies
- Toilet roll tubes Blocks Construction vehicles
This activity is fantastic for your child’s imaginative play and also a brilliant way to get your Little ones to explore different textures.
All the foods I have used were ideal for Freddie to tip , pour and fill using his different construction vehicles which he really enjoyed!
The cardboard roll tubes came in handy as this gave Freddie something different to pour the foods into whilst using them as tunnels!
If your little ones enjoys tipping , pouring and scooping things then this is by far the best activity for them, it’ll keep them entertained for hours!
Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…
Hi, I’m Amy.
I have two children and I am an early years level 3 practitioner.
How are you finding being housebound so far?
I have found it quite challenging at times but when we have activities planned and things to do for them then it’s a lot easier!
Do you have any tips for other parents?
Set up an activity the night before for them to come downstairs and have endless amounts of fun all day.
