We spoke to Lauren to find out how she created this lovely framed handprint collage to mark the family’s time in “lockdown”. Here is what she had to say…
We did the picture after so many failed attempts at handprints and cracking with salt dough and cement although looks good it all cracked.
But I wanted to do something to mark the time when we were all together as we have such busy lives with working and nursery.
My husband is still currently working as he is an engineer in a pie factory so we try to do fun things when he’s home.
I used a photocopier to photocopy our hands and the dog’s paw (yes it’s a dog, not a hamster 😂😂) but it was very difficult to get him to sit still.
I chose a rainbow picture off google as rainbows have been the symbol for lockdown the wrote our last name ‘lewis family lockdown 2020’ all over it.
I usually work as a self-employed hairdresser in a nursing home so I have been enjoying the time off with the kids and just spending quality time with them.
