Sky, from Weston-super-Mare, sent in this great idea for upcycling a mirror with flowers. Let’s take a look at it…
What did you do?
I got this mirror free from Facebook. Luckily I a few friends had some artificial flowers I could have. Needed some pink colours so went to The Range and got some roses which only cost me £4.99.
Needed something green/nature themed for my bedroom. I’ve never decorated my room so thought I should treat myself.
I used a glue gun to attach all the flowers. I used separate leave to cover up any spaces.
I found having bigger flowers around. then small leaves and mini flowers really helped bring it all together.
Do you have any other projects planned?
I have a mirror in my bathroom so I want to do something to do too. Maybe some grey small rose followers as my bathroom is grey .
Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…
My name is Sky. I’m 28 and I have a beautiful 5-year-old daughter. I’m a single mother and we live in South-West UK.
How are you finding being housebound so far?
It’s been very challenging but also so fun doing new things I wouldn’t normally have time for with my daughter. We have created so many new memories.
She is now back at school so things are slowly going back to normal.
Do you have any tips for other parents?
Maybe hide the snacks haha.
I think just enjoy this time as we won’t ever get this again.
Not working and I watching my child grow is amazing. Yes, it’s been stressful but it’s made me stronger as a mother for sure.
