Kate, from Leiston Suffolk UK, sent in this great idea. Let’s take a look at it…
What did you do?
We wanted something homemade for Father’s Day and Dad has just finished building his workshop in the garden so we had an old frame that had no glass and came up with the idea of gathering workshop related items, screws, string etc and forming letters to spell out Dad’s workshop. We glued them in to position and were very happy with the finished result!
It all worked well, we used a hot glue gun and had to be patient for it to dry, but the items stuck well.
Do you have any other projects planned?
Thinking of making something for my son’s den, maybe using lego to form the letters.
Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…
My name is Kate. I have 5 children aged 5 to 26 years. Lived in Roatan for 7 years now in Suffolk UK.
How are you finding being housebound so far?
We are used to being fairly isolated and homeschooling after living on a remote island for 7 years, so things are going well.
Do you have any tips for other parents?
Have plans but be flexible.
If the kids aren’t interested move on to something else it stops everyone getting frustrated!
Has being part of our community helped you?
Always love seeing peoples creativity and having a go ourselves.
