Jen, from Kendal, had a Disney Party day with her family.  Lets find out more…

What did you do?

I bought a little back drop to decorate the room and be nice for photos. It was only cheap off Ebay, from China.
Then we set up pass the parcel, musical statues and usual party games. The kids loved looking for their favourite characters on a YouTube parade too.
We did a little bit of craft- making Forky (found little kits on Ebay).
We went to play in the lake as it was a beautiful sunny day and the girls wanted to pose as Ariel and Moana for photos.
Lunch was general party food but Mickey shaped sandwiches and shortbreads, using a cutter off Ebay.
Then later (their favourite part) I gave the girls both a princess makeover and they walked around to deliver party bags to friends that lived nearby, show off their make overs and have a distanced birthday chat. We had Disney music playing as we walked and they blew bubbles for each other like their very own little parade! They had all of these princess dresses already as they were going to take them to Disneyland.
They had homemade McDonald’s for tea and watched their fave Disney film to finish off their day. I made a very simple and easy Mickey birthday cake too!

Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…

I have 3 children- 6 year old twin girls and an 8 year old boy.

How are you finding being housebound so far?

We have been keeping busy with home schooling and lots of crafting and walking. We are now back at work/school so enjoying a little bit of normality.

Do you have any tips for other parents?

Create a routine and get out doors as much as possible.
