Alison, from Padiham, sent in this great idea. Let’s take a look at it…
What did you do?
Baking biscuits
Me and my son decided to bake biscuits but seen as my son is obsessed with dinosaurs we went with a dinosaur theme. We actually used one of the toy dinosaurs to put footprints on the biscuits obviously we cleaned him all off first, we then brushed on green food colouring to the prints and baked them. My son Ezra loves them. Its a great activity for everyone…. even dinosaurs.
Do you have any other projects planned?
We’re going to experiment with different dinosaur footprints on our next bicuits, we’ve plenty to choose from
Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…
My name is Alison and me and my husband lee have just the one child Ezra who is 2 years old. We live in Lancashire, England.
How are you finding being housebound so far?
It has been hard at times, some days are better than others. As I’m still currently off work I keep trying to find different activities to keep Ezra amused.
Do you have any tips for other parents?
Get creative. Me and Ezra have been logging all our activities with pictures which I’m putting into a lockdown memory box, along with drawings, salt dough creations etc. It may be hard at times but one day we can look back and say wow look what we did and achieved
Has being part of our community helped you?
It has great for craft ideas and general activities to keep littles entertained.
