What did you do?
I spray painted my table with chalk paint in blush pink and the chair legs I spray painted in rose gold. The chair covers I got on eBay. In total it cost me about £40 to completely change my whole table and room. I had loads of fun doing this as I hadn’t had any contact with my boyfriend for over three months due to covid 19 and also my family members so it was just me and my son for 11 weeks until he recently started to visit his dad again.
The chalk spray paint was so easy and effective I did have to use three tins to fully cover it though.
Do you have any other projects planned?
I gave a tall shelf that I’m planning on upcycling in the same way and also I’ve already painted a shelf and place wallpaper samples in the back.

I’m a teaching assistant so I have been working on and off on a rota. I also have a son who is 6 that has been with me for the whole time.
How are you finding being housebound so far?
I’m finding it very challenging for my mental health as I’m very close to my family, friends and boyfriend. So activities like this help
Do you have any tips for other parents?
Go out for as many walks as you can try not to put too much pressure on yourself!
