Charlotte, from Weston-Super-Mare, made a treasure hunt sensory activity using couscous. Let’s take a look at it…
What did you do?
I used dried couscous, and cake topper sprinkles to create a sensory digging for treasure play invitation. I popped into a tuff tray (any tray will do) and then mixed it around.
We then had to use our hands / spoons to find out the cake sprinkle treasure.
We talked about the sprinkles we were finding!
I use couscous as it’s cheap and reusable. It has a lovely texture (It’s also very easy to hoover up).
You can add and sprinkles and smaller ones for older children! Really promotes fine motor skills!
Do you have any other projects planned?
Coloured Chickpeas and loose part play with other dried food goods!
