What did you do?
This activity is great for promoting number recognition, number formation and counting. It is also great for developing fine motor skills.
I always start by providing the children with a visual of what I would like them to do. I also demonstrate what they need to do.
I fold the paper for them. I do this by folding the paper in half long ways. I then open it back up and fold in half like you would to make a card. I then reopen and fold both sides in to the middle line. Once I have done that, I then fold only one side in half of one of the boxes created from all the folding.
You should have 6 big boxes and four small.
The children then write a number in each of the boxes. You can choose any number range but I always start from 1 -10.
Once the children have written their numbers in each, I then five them the choice of what stickers they want to use. Once they have chosen, they have to peel the sticker off and place it in the box with the numbers. The children have to count the correct amount for each box.
This activity is quite fun and can be extended in many ways. You could problem solve, ask children how many more stickers do they need to add to a numbers box. You could also get them to use different stickers to show different ways of making a number.
The children all did really well with their counting and peeling the stickers off.
Some children were able to write their numbers and count the correct amount of stickers independently, some needed support.

Make a routine with your children and give them choices in the routine.
Have a balance of Learning and relaxed time.
Embrace the time with your children and do not feel guilty if you are not following all the home learning being sent.
