Prerana, from Chennai, India, sent in this great counting raindrops idea. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

In India we have a wet season and its called Monsoon, it comes around the months of June and stays until early September and depending on the reason the timeframe varies little. So since we are getting lots of rain these days I thought to incorporate that in our activity.
Today we did more on counting between 10-20 by counting the raindrops

Super fun and something that can help as a rotation item.

All you need is cardboard, pair of scissors, some paint and a marker.

I cut cardboard into shape of raindrops and painted clouds on another big rectangle cardboard. Then to play I started arranging some raindrops and asked Auritro to count and find the number in the card stack.

It helps with number recognition and also helps explain the current season along why the scientific explanations of why it rains.

Do you have any other projects planned?

Cardboard sunflower with countings.
