Alana, from Scotland, sent in this great idea. Let’s take a look at it…
What did you do?
I chalked some pictures onto the ground and took pictures when my children were laid out on them. I then printed them out and placed them on a card for Father’s Day!
The sun was shining and so 90% of the pictures I took, the kids were squinting!
Also, I would recommend taking a chair so that you are a lot higher than the kids are for a better picture.
Do you have any other projects planned?
My little girl has missed our nursery graduation so we are making a mini celebration. She will have a hat and robe and we are making a certificate and sweet box shaped like a graduation cap. We are going to ask our neighbours to come out and clap her as she walks down our street 🙂
Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…
My name is Alana and I have 3 beautiful children age 4, 2 and 3 months. We live in Scotland.
How are you finding being housebound so far?
My newest little girl was born 4 days before Lockdown so it has certainly been an emotional time not being able to introduce her to family or friends. On the brighter side, it has been a very special family time together and we have definitely “nested”!
Do you have any tips for other parents?
Don’t worry about schoolwork! The most important thing is that you and your children are taken care of in these strange and unsettling and emotional times. Hug more. Nest. Xxxxx
Has being part of our community helped you?
I have just found it, but scrolling through the ideas, I know I will be obsessed with it!
