Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…
I’m a Learning Support Assistant from Essex, a mother to 3 children. We love arts and crafts in our home and I wish I could say I made this doll’s house but I didn’t! This is the creation of my 10-year-old daughter who has an amazing imagination and loves to create things out of cardboard boxes. Our home has been taken over by cardboard boxes as we are not allowed to throw any away! So far she has made a bus, a car, a playhouse and kitchen for herself and her sister to play with. She has a youtube channel which is all things Crafts called CraftyHearts.
Do you have any tips for other parents?
Being housebound has given us the opportunity to learn new things together. We’ve cooked, baked, explored the forest. We’ve been able to have movie nights on more nights than just our usual Friday. We have missed hugging our family and friends but have enjoyed social distance games and walks in the park.
Has this website and community helped you?
It’s a great space to find ideas for anything whilst housebound.
