Natalie, from Brisbane, enjoys a bit of messy play involving paint, toy cars and paper. Let’s take this idea for a spin…
What did you do?
This morning, we explored the different tracks each car made by putting some paint on paper and driving the different cars through the paint.
I would probably use a thicker paper or cardboard – or change the paper more regularly.
What do you have planned for your next project?
Our next project is to plant some strawberries and tomatoes using the skins of strawberries and half a tomato.
Tell us about yourself…
My name is Natalie. I am 28 and a single mum to three beautiful children from Brisbane, Australia. I have girl/boy twins who are nearly 3, and a 4-month-old girl.
How has the current lockdown been?
I am a stay at home mum so this is not much different to my usual day/week/month, apart from not having friends visit and playing with other children.
Do you have any good tips for other parents?
Routine! Routine, by far, has been the easiest part of being housebound and a single mum. Keeping their minds stimulated so they aren’t getting up to mischief.
Has the Housebound with Kids community helped?
I have enjoyed seeing the creativity that has come out of this pandemic and being about to share it with the community.
