Charlotte, from Plymouth, Devon, created this great Bookcase Doll’s House. Let’s take a look at it…
What did you do?
We have created a doll’s house from a bookcase using scraps of craft paper, gift bags and wallpaper. We used up double-sided tape and glue dots, stickers to create creative walls.
Using scraps of paper helped to achieve a patchwork wallpaper which we really liked and kept the project zero waste.
We tried Fablon at first however it didn’t work and we had to take it off.
Do you have any other projects planned?
Our next project is making our courtyard garden space a place for fun and excitement.
Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…
My name is Charlotte and I live with my family in Plymouth, Devon.
I have one biological daughter who is 4 yrs old and my 2 bonus children from my husband’s previous relationship who are 12 yrs old and 13 yrs old.
How are you finding being housebound so far?
We have found lockdown difficult as we are a very sociable family, we love to spend our time exploring nature. My daughter started school in September so she is finding it difficult to re-adjust to staying at home again, missing her new friends and the school environment.
Do you have any tips for other parents?
My only tip is to take each day as it comes and not to stress about home learning as much but to just create a safe and happy environment in this difficult time.
