Vaida, from Preston, sent in this great idea. Let’s take a look at it…
What did you do?
This will work only if your childs bedroom door opens into inside of the room. Place balloons on the door and secure them with ribbons. Once they open door baoons will fall on a child
It would be great to time it so you can watch they reaction as I missed it
Use paper table cloth instead of ribbon, just cut it to size. It’s cheaper
You could even write messages on ribbon
Start at the bottom of door and pile them.
Do you have any other projects planned?
If you child doesn’t like cake like min doesn’t, make it using they favourite snacks
Play pin the poo on a toilet with teenagers.
Get kids to race who will eat doughnut of the string first.
Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…
I have 2 daughter. 14 years old and 3 years old. I am from UK.
How are you finding being housebound so far?
I find it hard working full time from home while looking after my 3 years old by myself as my husband goes to work. Apart from that I am loving it and kids benefited from it.
Do you have any tips for other parents?
Have fun. Find things you and kids enjoy doing. Make sure to take care of your mental wellbeing. It’s okay to let kids run wild every so often and eat ready meals
Has being part of our community helped you?
This is great community that gives support and shares amazing ideas without judgement. I love it
