Zephy, from Plymouth UK, sent in this great idea. Let’s take a look at it…
What did you do?
A baby fruit bath involves a tin bath of warm water and chopped fruit of your choice, this can be done outdoors on a nice sunny day or indoors if it’s not. You can gently put your baby into the bath and then introduce the fruit to enjoy the nice sensory play and maybe a bit of nibbling!
My baby thoroughly enjoyed being able to eat some new fruits and loves being in water. Baby’s can get bored pretty quickly however and also it can get quite slippy if you don’t have any bath grips in the bottom.
Do you have any other projects planned?
I will be doing more baby fruit bath with various fruits and also flower versions!
Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…
My name is Zephy , I have two children April who is 9 years old and Hazel my 8 month old baby. I am a wedding and family photographer but currently on maternity leave and enjoying some time getting creative with my girls with a 365 photography project and making memories. I live in Plymouth currently but we will be moving to Scotland soon.
How are you finding being housebound so far?
It has been both wonderful and difficult, it’s been great to slow down and spend quality time with my girls but my eldest in particular has a very busy social life with school and clubs so she has bundles of energy and it’s been tough trying to give my girls equal amounts of attention especially when my 8 month old still needs me lots.
Do you have any tips for other parents?
Just use your imagination and get creative, create a Pinterest board of ideas and just try! That creative thing you have been putting off for ages….now is the time to do it!
Has being part of our community helped you?
Having just heard about it, I am really looking forward to getting more involved with the community. I enjoy learning from other families and sharing all my creativity and the bond I have with my girls.
