We show you how to make your own Christmas hat decorations, you can even hide some chocolate inside! Something lovely to hang from your tree.

What did you do?
We made Christmas hat decorations.
You will need:
-wool
-scissors
-toilet roll tubes
-ruler
-chocolates (optional)
-glue and sequins or things to decorate (optional)
You need to cut your toilet roll tube into around 5 (depending on how big you want to make them).
Cut strips of wool around 20cm + (doesn’t need to be exact).
Take one piece of wool at a time and tie it to the tube with a double knot, making sure the knot is in the middle of wool. Then push the knot to the top of the tube.
Continue until the tube is full and you can’t see any cardboard.
You then need to flip it inside out and then gather all the wool with another strand and pull it tight to make it look like a pompom. I then attached a long piece of string to make a loop to hang. Trim any long pieces until you are happy.
You could then hide a chocolate inside as we did. You could also add decorations like sequins or buttons.

It’s simple and was able to make them with my girls. You can make it any colour you want.
