What did you make?
I made rainbow toast!
Ingredients:
Slices of bread
Half a cup of milk
Food colors
Pippet or eye droppers
Small bowls for the different colors you want to use
Clean paint brushes
Method:
Divide the milk in small bowls
Add one color to each bowl for example one bowl becomes red milk, the other one green and so on
Use One paint brush per bowl
Draw your design on your slice of bread ( one tip don’t put too much milk it will make the bread soggy)
Put it in the toaster to toast the slice
Enjoy with butter!
This activity is easy and can be done with children aged 3 and up.
It allowed for my 7 year old granddaughter to use her creativity, imagination, great for focus and attention! She was having so much fun! Creating lasting memories! She still remembers it and we did many months ago!

We have also enjoyed making homemade board games! All self directed by the 7 year old!

Do you have any tips for other parents?
Take care of yourself first so you can show up for the children, self care should include some destress practice, create a routine and do a daily gratitude practice.
What are your family’s favourite board game(s)/card game(s)?
Most recently it has been Clue and then my granddaughter created two versions of her own which made me so proud of her! Checkers, Mancela and Chinese checkers.

What toys would you recommend to other parents?
Passive toys engage the Brian more so legos, play dough, Wood and any open ended toys that children can use their imagination and creativity.
