Laura, from Leeds, created this low maintenance sand and water play table for her little ones. Let’s find out all about it…
What did you do?
I created an easy to tidy away table that allows my children to play in sand and water without having to climb in a sand pit and get covered.
I managed to build the table mostly from materials I had left over from another garden project. I added the tubes for the kids to pour water down, into the water tub. But they decided to use them to blow the water back out or the top instead. I added hooks on the front to hang the toys for easy access.
Do you have any other projects planned?
My next project is a vegetable patch for my 8 year old.
Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…
Laura, mum of 3 children, ages 13, 8 and 6 from England.
How are you finding being housebound so far?
I’ve struggled working from home and attempting schoolwork with the kids but I have really enjoyed how this has forced us to all spend some real time with each other.
Do you have any tips for other parents?
I would say to everyone that no matter what, your kids happiness comes first. If it means you miss a day of schooling to stop a day of tantrums, stress and anxiety then so be it.
